Why I love Sampath Bank

I’m off on a business trip to the UK tomorrow. Hurrah!
2 seconds ago I received an SMS from Sampath Bank offering me a 15% discount on my credit card use at Alpha Orient, Bandaranayke if I spend more than $50.
Brilliant!

The offer is well targeted, timely, relevant and attractive.
I received it because the bank knew I was travelling.
So I’ll use the card, the bank will make money, Alpha will make money, the government will make money and I’ll be laden with goodies.

I’ll drink duty free to that.
